Beginner Class - Saturday Mornings
Introducing new friends to the joys of quilting is something we love! Join us as we cover proper rotary cutting, pressing, 1/4 inch seams for accurate blocks, and more as we make a 30x30 sampler quilt in this 5-week class. Class will meet weekly for 6 weeks, with a break Saturday, March 8th, for a total of 5 weeks of class.
Time: Saturday Mornings, 9:30am-12:30pm
Class dates:
February 8th, 9:30am-12:30pm
February 15th, 9:30am-12:30pm
February 22nd, 9:30am-12:30pm
March 1st, 9:30am-12:30pm
March 8th, no class
March 15th, 9:30am-12:30pm
Instructor: Becky
Cost: $85 includes instruction, pattern, three 1/3 yard cuts for blocks, and sashing fabric. Also includes long arm service for this quilt, including thread and batting. Does not include backing or binding fabric.
Other Supplies to Bring: (once signed up for class, any supplies purchased at the shop get a 10% discount)
Rotary cutter with sharp blade
Pins and small scissors for clipping thread
Grid (we recommend 6.5”x12.5” or larger)
Working sewing machine - threaded and ready to go (2nd class and beyond; machine not needed for first class)
Backing, and binding fabrics will be purchased in later weeks of class
Skill Level: Beginner
